Welcome to my webpage.
Prof. Debabrata Goswami (Debu)
Visiting Professor
Center for Bits and Atoms, MIT
Room E15-401
20 Ames Street
Cambridge, MA 02139
I am currently on sabbatical leave from
Indian
Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), as a Fulbright-Nehru
Academic and Professional Excellence fellow with Prof. Neil
Gershenfeld at MIT Center for Bits and Atoms, where I am focusing on
advancing femtosecond laser applications for laser machining toward
nanofabrication. This includes additive and subtractive fabrication
projects using ultrafast and multiphoton optical processes and thermal
dynamics.
My research delves into the quantum processes initiated by femtosecond
laser pulses interacting with materials, which promises to yield
innovative tools and technologies with broad applications across science
and industry.
I love teaching and am a faculty of the global fab academy.
